The Food and Drug Control Center has announced the temporary closure of a number of dairy factories in the city of Gharyan, after five children were poisoned.
According to the Director of the Information Office, Mohammed Al-Zayyat, the center said that they analyzed samples from factories in the city, and it became clear that they contained materials unfit for consumption, due to the lack of standard specifications, health requirements, and sterilization methods in factories.
Al-Zayyat added that the center ordered the quantities to be destroyed immediately after discovering that they had been subjected to poor storage, explaining that the center will launch inspection campaigns on dairy factories.
