The French President, Emmanuel Macron, has invited the Chairman-elect of the Presidential Council (PC), Mohammad Menfi, to visit Paris as soon as possible.
The invitation came during a telephone call with Menfi, according to a report by the official Libyan TV channel, during which Macron warmly congratulated Menfi on the formation of the new executive authority.
Macron confirmed, during the call to Menfi, France’s support for Libya to continue its present pathway to avoid further crisis and the necessity for concerted efforts on the part of all sides to achieve this, adding that France fully supports the peace process in Libya, as he put it.
