The Head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi, said on Saturday that achieving national and international consensus comes from the necessity of holding elections before the end of 2023, adding that this requires the correct and transparent implementation of consensual electoral laws before the end of next April, if not, the current laws must be used in the process.
Menfi arrived on Saturday afternoon in Benghazi to meet with Khalifa Haftar and a number of officials in the city.
Menfi reaffirmed on Twitter that the Presidential Council is committed to the governing roadmap for the period emanating from the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum, the Berlin Conference results and Security Council resolutions, to complete preliminary stages leading to holding elections.
