The Libyan Centre for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences has reported that residents of the city of Al-Marj felt a mild earthquake at dawn on Monday.

The center explained on its Facebook page that this earthquake was not recorded due to the cessation of the seismic monitoring stations in Libya years ago, and it was not recorded by any nearby international stations.

Therefore it is not possible to determine the location, time, and strength of this earthquake, the center added, pointing out that expert analyzes and estimates suggest that this earthquake occurred in Libyan territory because it was not recorded by international stations due to its distance from the coast and its weak strength.
