Minister of Higher Education: Omicron variant forces us to take stringent measures
The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Imran Al-Qib, said that the emergence of the new Coronavirus strain Omicron has forced the Ministry to take strict measures, including prevention of entry to educational institutions without showing correctly registered and officially filled vaccination cards.
Al-Qib indicated in a press statement that there are problems, which he described as immense, related to the lack of demand for vaccination and for the supply of forged vaccination cards.
He called on the Ministry of Health to issue vaccination cards that cannot be tampered with and which can be easily verified as official, pointing out that the Ministry of Higher Education intends to prevent students from entering exams without vaccination cards and correct proof of cover.
