Acting Minister of Health of the Government of National Unity, Ramadan Abu Janah, has reaffirmed full support for the Oncology Treatment Institute in Misrata, and his keen interest to solve the problems of the institute and provide its needs.

Abu Janah said, in a meeting with the institute's officials, that the ministry is working to support health centers and public hospitals to enhance the programme of treatment at home.

It is to be noted that the government launched, last November, the “Shifa” project to organize cancer treatment in Libya, which aims to combat cancer, take measures to localize treatment of patients at home, and prepare a database to determine the necessary needs in terms of both equipment and medicine, according to government media.
