The Minister of Social Affairs, Wafaa Al-Kilani, signed a memorandum of understanding with the Acting Representative of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) to Libya, Marie-Consolee, to cooperate on training programmes for social and psychological specialists in the aspects of psychological and social support and child care.

Al-Kilani praised cooperation between the two sides in various fields, especially with regard to childhood, according to the ministry's statement on its Facebook page.

The MoU focuses on the implementation of multi-year action plan for child protection, social policy prepared by experts from both sides, and other areas of cooperation related to children in Libya, provided that such cooperation would include all regions of the country.
