The Airports Authority has announced the completion of urgent maintenance work on the main runway at Mitiga International Airport after partial damage in its surface layer.
The Authority explained that Al-Muthabara General Contracting Company began implementing maintenance work commissioned by the Airports Authority and under the direct supervision of the Construction and Facilities Department, in addition to the security, safety and equipment offices at the airport.
It also added that the work team was able to complete the maintenance work in record time, noting that safety and security for passengers were the priority during these works.
