The East Mountain Security Directorate announced the arrest of a group of foreign workers of Egyptian and Chadian nationality following their involvement in a physical altercation in the city centre of Gharyan.
According to a statement released on the Directorate's official Facebook page, the apprehension was carried out by Gharyan Police Station in collaboration with the General Security Service's Gharyan branch.
The individuals in question will be subject to due legal processes and subsequently referred to the relevant authorities.
Furthermore, the Directorate has explicitly refuted claims of any fatalities resulting from the incident, dismissing such information as unfounded and designed to incite disorder and fear.
