Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) has accused the Libyan Coast Guard of impending its efforts to rescue over 170 migrants.

The Guardian newspaper reported, citing MSF, that it sent two of its vessels to rescue two boats in international waters, one carrying 28 migrants and the other 143, mainly Syrians.

The organization claims that during its attempt, the Libyan Coast Guard obstructed its actions by carrying out manoeuvres that put the migrants at risk.
