The National Security Advisor Ibrahim Bushnaf held talks with the Secretary of the Russian Security Council, Nikolai Patrushev on Monday to discuss cooperation in combating terrorism and humanitarian emergencies.

The state-run Libyan News Agency said Boshnav arrived in Moscow in response to an invitation from the Russian authorities.

Discussions focused on counter-terrorism issues and explored ways to mitigate the impact of natural disasters, in the wake of Storm Daniel that swept eastern Libya last September.

They also exchanged notes on the security situation in Libya, the Middle East, and North Africa, and discussed ways to enhance cooperation through the Security Councils of both countries.
