The Department of Livestock in Jabal Al-Akhdar has announced the recording of the first case of sheep pox south of the municipality of Al-Bayda, noting that it is the second type of disease recorded in the area after the lumpy skin disease recorded among cows.
According to the department most of the infections were recorded in the Al-Wasita area near Al-Bayda, and a circular was issued to breeders regarding the necessity of isolating heat-infected cows, and prohibiting the sale of livestock or slaughtering except in the presence of veterinarians.
