The National Oil Corporation (NOC) welcomed, on Monday, a report issued by the non-governmental organizations, ‘Trial International’ and ‘Public Eye’, on investigations of Libyan oil smuggling operations.
NOC said that the smuggling of oil from Libya is practically a daily occurrence and stated on its official website that combating fuel smuggling is their foremost priority. It expressed hope every individual or group involved in such operations be brought to justice.
NOC stressed the necessity to put an end to the continued looting of Libya’s natural resources and confirmed that this report should act as a warning and deterrent to all those involved in such despicable acts.
