A technical committee has visited Al-Jadeed area, the old city in the city of Sabha, to inspect the damage it sustained and the possibility of maintaining it as soon as possible, according to the Municipal Council of Sabha.
The council said in a statement on Saturday that the visit of the old cities evaluation committee, headed by Abu Bakr Jamaa, aims to implement a plan to restore the activity of old cities in the municipality of Sabha, as maintenance work will be carried out in cooperation with the Old Cities Authority of the Ministry of Local Government.
Al-Jadeed area suffered for long periods of deterioration in services and a lack of government attention, to the point that sewage water covered some streets and homes in the area.
