The member of the House of Representatives (HoR) Ziyad Daghim urged Sunday the HoR Speaker Aqilah Saleh to resign instead of giving in to France’s pressure.
Daghim told a Libyan local TV channel that France’s pressure is driving Saleh against his convictions.
He also said that Saleh is violating the constitutional declaration regarding the referendum law by resorting to a consultative committee and dealing with an annulled constitution draft.
Daghim further added that Saleh will plunge Libya into a new crisis as he did when he approved the Libyan Political Agreement in December 2015.
