Identical sources confirmed the suspension of the passport system at the Ras Ajdir border crossing, linking Libya and Tunisia, since Saturday night, in a repeated incident that exacerbated the suffering of travelers.

Activists circulated pictures of the congestion of travelers on both sides and the queuing of Libyan ambulances, which transport patients amid human suffering coinciding with the month of Ramadan, without issuing any official statement explaining the circumstances of the malfunction of the system and the date of resuming movement at the crossing, which is visited by thousands of travelers daily.

The suspension of movement at the crossing comes hours after the meeting of the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdel Hamid Dbeibah, with the Tunisian Ambassador, Al-Assaad Al-Ajili, to discuss the organization of the transit movement at the crossings between the two countries.
