The Ministry of the Interior of the Government of National Unity has announced that an operation to smuggle illegal immigrants to Europe via Libyan shores, was thwarted.
The ministry said in a statement on Saturday, on its official Facebook page, that patrols of the Task Forces Department of the General Administration of Security Operations were able to arrest 105 immigrants of African nationality in a residence for expatriate workers.
The statement explained that the place, located in the Al-Alous area, wss used for illegal immigration, stressing that all legal measures will be taken against them.
