Spanish police arrested five individuals in the cities of Madrid and Valencia, on charges of involvement in smuggling anti-drone weapons to Libya.

Investigations began in 2020 when an attempt was discovered to smuggle a shipment of drones equipped with thermal cameras to Libya.

The members of the network were identified, including four directors of a Madrid-based technology company and a Libyan citizen linked to a paramilitary group in Tripoli, and the seized shipment was valued at more than two million euros.
