The Turkish Ambassador to Libya, Kenan Yilmaz, described the Conference on Supporting the Constitution, which was held in Tripoli, as a positive development and an indication of the common desire among Libyans to draft the constitution.

“Turkey supported holding free and fair elections that reflect the will of the Libyans, especially the preparation of the legal ground to hold them”, Yilmaz added, according to the Anadolu News Agency.

The Turkish ambassador stated that the Libyan political process has entered another stage due to the inability to hold the elections that were scheduled for December 24, explaining that preparations for the upcoming elections are continuing.
