The Head of Tripoli Teachers’ Union, Abu Bakr Al-Abani, said that most teachers responded to the open strike set by the Union to demand improved pay and living conditions.
Abani explained that the reluctance of some teachers to participate in this strike is owed to what he called the pressures exerted by the Ministry of Education, clarifying that among the municipalities that refused to take part, were Abu Salim, Souq Al-Jummuah and Tajoura.
