Libya's capital, Tripoli, played host this Saturday to the inaugural 2024 meeting of Zone I of the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA). 

According to the "Hakomitna" platform, the meeting saw the participation of the Deputy Minister of Sports, Jamal Abunuwara, the President of the Olympic Committee, Jamal al-Zaruq, and representatives from North African countries including Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, and Mauritania.

The two-day meeting is poised to be a fertile ground for strategic coordination among these North African countries. The delegates will chart the sports events and calendar of activities for 2024.
