The Tunisian President Kais Saied and the Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah Sisi, discussed the importance of initiating the Arab role towards the Libyan crisis.

Both presidents stressed, in a joint press conference during Saied’s official visit to Cairo, the necessity to end foreign interference and the immediate departure of all foreign mercenary forces from Libya in order to ensure the restoration of its stability and to safeguard its sovereignty and its regional integrity.

Saied and Sisi expressed their readiness to provide all forms of support to the Government of National Unity (GNU), to assist it in performing its role in the management of the transitional period, leading to the holding of elections on the scheduled date, towards the end of December coming.
