The Turkish Ambassador to Rome, Murad Salim Esenli, stated that the intention of Fayez Al-Sarraj to transfer his position to a new executive authority, chosen by the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum, clearly demonstrates the commitment of the Government of National Accord (GNA) to work towards a political solution.
On the other hand, he expressed his hope that the authorities in the eastern region would not diminish the opportunity through ‘extreme demands’, according to his statement.
In an interview in Rome with the Adnkronos news agency, Esenli expressed his sincere hope that the ceasefire would continue, adding that Turkey strongly supports a political solution and UN-led international efforts.
