Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has confirmed that preserving the unity and safety of Libyan state and preventing the country from being drawn into conflicts again are the main priorities of the Turkish state during this stage.

Fidan added in his speech before the Turkish Parliament about the strategic goals of his ministry that his country will continue to develop its dialogue with all parts of eastern, western and southern Libya and will reactivate its general consulate in the city of Benghazi as soon as possible.

The Turkish Foreign Minister pointed to strengthening relations with Egypt, saying that his country seeks in particular to develop and deepen relations with Egypt and the Gulf states, in line with the goal of enhancing an environment of stability and prosperity in the region.
