The Turkish company Limak resumed work to develop the (March 28) Stadium at the Benghazi Sports City after a 12-year hiatus following the uprising in 2011.A statement from the Benghazi Reconstruction and Stabilization Committee read: "The executing company has begun work to complete and expand the capacity of the stadium to 40,000 instead of 28,000, with a completion period of 12 months."The announcement came during a tour conducted by the head of the Reconstruction and Stabilization Committee, Hatem Al-Araibi, accompanied by officials of the executing company.Al-Araibi pledged to accomplish the project per international standards and under the supervision of a specialized consulting office.
