The US Attorney's Office in Florida has sentenced two American citizens to prison on charges of illegal export of diving equipment to Libya without a license by the U.S. Department of Commerce.
The convicts were involved in a scheme that led to the illegal export of the equipment to Libya in August 2016, the US Attorney's Office explained, indicating that the equipment enable the divers to dive deep underwater for long periods of time without being detected.
