The United Nations (UN) called on Monday, on what it named as, the parties involved in the Libyan conflict to “stop the violence, silence the guns and resume political dialogue.”

The spokesperson for the Secretary-General, Stephane Dujarric added in a press conference in New York: “Obviously we are fully aware of the ongoing violence in Libya, which is indecent, to say the least.”

He added, “In Libya, the most vulnerable victims are civilians, refugees and migrants, who continue to suffer from regular attacks on health care facilities and the destruction of civilian infrastructure.”
