The Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations for Political Affairs, Rosemary A. DiCarlo, has commended the decision recently taken by the Presidential Council to form the Supreme Finance Committee to regulate public spending and promote transparency with the participation of all Libyan parties.
This came during her phone call with the head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi, according to the media office of the Presidential Council.
DiCarlo praised the Presidential Council efforts exerted to achieve peace and stability throughout the country, especially in the files of national reconciliation and support for elections.
