The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) has received 28 people who have fled or been released from human trafficking sites over the past week.

As of December 20, the UNHCR recorded, according to its report published on Sunday, that the Libyan Coast Guard rescued or intercepted more than 23,000 asylum seekers and migrants, the last of which was the past  week when two rescue operations were carried out for more than 900 people, including 425 persons  under care of UNHCR .

On December 15, the last repatriation flight for this year was recorded, bringing 174 asylum-seekers from vulnerable groups to Rwanda, including children and women.
