The UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Libya has said it had provided assistance to 26 asylum seekers from Somalia and Sudan to help them settle in Tripoli and leave the crowded departure facility.

UNHCR explained in a statement Tuesday, that the migrants targeted, have under went the necessary medical tests and received fund support and in-kind assistance.

"The aid was to cover part of their expenses related to food and housing, so that they could settle and find a source of income," UNHCR added.
