The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), commended what it described as the positive atmosphere between the delegations of the House of Representatives (HoR) and the High Council of State (HCS) in their meeting in Morocco over the past two days.
In a statement, UNSMIL commended the call of both delegations in their final statement to the international community to support the electoral process in the country in accordance with agreed laws and on the basis of the outcomes of the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum (LPDF), calling for the assurance of respect for its results through the provision of international observers.
The UN mission said that it participated in the consultative meeting in Morocco to discuss the legal framework for the elections scheduled for December 24.
