The US Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs, Victoria Nuland, described a meeting held with the Libyan Foreign Minister in the Government of National Unity (GNU), Najla Al-Manquosh as “productive”, which included the electoral framework and strictly holding the elections as scheduled on December 24 along with the total withdrawal of all foreign forces from Libya.

Nuland wrote on her Twitter account: “Good discussion with Libyan Foreign Minister Mangoush on the need to move forward with the electoral framework to allow for Presidential and Parliamentary elections on December 24, and the Libyan stabilization initiative, including withdrawing foreign forces.”
