The Charge d'Affairs of the US Embassy to Libya, Jeremy Berndt, discussed Wednesday in Tunisia, with the Minister of State for Communications and Political Affairs, Walid Al-Lafi, and the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Omran Al-Qayeb, opportunities to strengthen cooperation higher education partnerships.

The two sides discussed the possibility of establishing partnerships between American and Libyan universities, exchanging students and teachers, and providing opportunities for Libyan students to study in the United States.

Berndt stressed that the US is committed to supporting higher education in Libya, noting that expanding cooperation in this important sphere will foster greater people-to-people connections between two countries.
