The head of the High National Elections Commission (HNEC), Imad Sayeh, assured all Libyans that the voters' records were intact and not harmed by the terrorist attack on their headquarters yesterday.
Sayeh said during a press conference alongside the Interior Minister, Abdul Salam Ashour, that the voter registers are ready to be used within hours, adding that the Commission maintains a database that was prepared in advance in anticipation of such incidents.
“The terrorist attack on the HNEC headquarters has only increased their insistence to carry on with the electoral phase.” He concludes.
