World Health Organization (WHO) concluded Thursday, a workshop for community health workers from several areas. The workshop was convened in the municipality of Souq al-Juma.
This comes within the framework of efforts made by the organization in cooperation with the health authorities in Libya; to activating the role of the health visitor in disseminate concepts of promoting and preserving health in society.
The health systems officer at WHO’s office in Libya, Mohamed Hashem, said that this training took 4 days and focused on enhancing personal communication skills to provide health advice in the community, how to identify major health problems in families, especially women and children, and how to deal with simple medical conditions.
