Zuwara Security Directorate has foiled an attempt by illegal migrants to cross to Europe via the east coast of the city.
"A police patrol captured 13 immigrants on the beach while waiting for another group before setting sail for the European shore," the security directorate explained on Facebook.
The migrants, most of them women and children, were taken to the directorate's HQ to complete the required proceedings, according to Zuwara Security Directorate.
