The Ministry of Interior announced plans to organize a meeting for interior ministers from countries concerned with illegal migration and border security on July 3rd in Tripoli.
This development followed discussions in Tripoli between Brigadier General Nouraldin Abu Jreida, the Director of the International Relations and Cooperation Department at the Ministry of Interior, and a representative from the Turkish Ministry of Interior.
According to the Libyan Interior Ministry, the two sides discussed the participation of the Turkish Interior Minister in the ministerial meeting, along with several security issues of mutual interest.
The issues include training programs to enhance the capabilities of the Libyan police and the preparation of a memorandum of understanding for mutual cooperation in this regard.
