Tripoli International Stadium has received certification from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) as a venue for hosting international football matches.

The governing body of African football notified the Libyan Football Federation (LFF) of these developments following CAF's Security and Safety Committee's visit to Tripoli over the past two days.

The delegation was received by the LFF President, Abdulhakim Al-Shalmani, Secretary-General Abdelnasser Al-Suwaiy, and Security and Safety Monitor, Mohammed Quraymidah.

CAF officials toured the stadium's facilities and expressed admiration for the modern maintenance carried out at the Tripoli International Stadium.

The stadium, which officially reopened in March of this year, underwent extensive redevelopment as part of the "Return to Life" program supervised by Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah.
