Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah has called for the need to complete the maintenance and development work in Al-Nahr Al-Sinaye and Tripoli International stadiums, so that they are ready to host local and international matches, and focus on the approved schedule and technical specifications.

These remarks came during Dbeibah's inspection visit on Saturday evening, accompanied by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Sports, Jamal Bunawara, to check out the maintenance and development of the stadiums.

He listened to detailed explanations from the project management of the Administrative Centers Development Agency, the consulting office and the working company. They confirmed that the work is proceeding according to the approved timetable.

The project manager for the maintenance and development of Al-Nahr  Al-Sinaye stadium said that the stadium would be ready in mid-June, after completing the necessary procurement work. The consulting office confirmed that the Tripoli International Stadium would be ready at the end of this year.

maintenance started in the two stadiums more than a year ago, but the work stopped more than once due to the delay in budgets and the intervention of several regulatory authorities that considered that the amounts of money required for the maintenance of the two stadiums were exaggerated and that the contracts for the development of the two stadiums were marred by suspicions of corruption.
