Member of the Presidential Council, Musa Al-Koni, discussed on Sunday, with the German Ambassador to Libya, Michael Ohnmacht, the latest political developments in the country, ways to end the transitional stages, and work with the UN envoy to achieve consensus between the parties participating in the political process.
This came in a meeting held in the capital, Tripoli, during which Al-Koni praised the efforts of countries concerned with the Libyan issue to achieve stability and Germany’s active role in the previous paths.
He stressed the need to unify efforts to develop a road map in cooperation with countries interested in the Libyan file to ensure stability and reach the elections.
The meeting also touched on the situation in the southern region, which witnessed waves of illegal immigration and organized crime due to the fragile situation on the borders in the southern regions as a result of the events taking place in neighboring countries and their repercussions on Libya.
