Presidential Council (PC) Member Abdullah Al-Lafi says monitoring the situation on the Libyan-Sudanese border is crucial in light of the unstable conditions in the region.
Al-Lafi's remarks came on Sunday during his reception of the Sudanese Ambassador to Libya, Ibrahim Ahmed.
The Sudanese ambassador expressed his condolences over the victims in Derna and other eastern cities that were hit by the floods.
He also highlighted the humanitarian conditions resulting from the ongoing war in his country and its repercussions on the Sudanese people in all respects.
Al-Lafi expressed Libya's desire to see the people of Sudan enjoy security and peace, confirming his government's support for all efforts to restore stability in the neighbouring country.
