The Libyan Foreign Minister, Najla Al-Mangoush has reaffirmed Libyan unity government's completion of the logistical and security preparations for the return of the Community of Sahel–Saharan States to its official headquarters in Tripoli.
Al-Mangoush, in a meeting on Tuesday with Community of Sahel–Saharan States' foreign ministers in Senegal's Dakar where the eighth peace and safety in Africa forum is held, invited the attendees of the meeting to visit Tripoli.
The ministers said they were ready to accept the invitation and support Libya to regain its active role in the community, the Foreign Ministry's media office said, adding that Al-Mangoush reiterated that she would like to hold more meetings to regain communication channels among member states, saying the return of the HQ would help Libya strengthen its capacity in the continent.
For his part, the Adviser to the Senegalese President, Macky Sall, reaffirmed his country's interest in Libya's stability, efforts to establish peace, in addition to having a role in activating and strengthening the African role in favor of Libya.
The ministers at the meeting also expressed their desire to activate Libya's developmental role within the community, as Al-Mangoush indicated that Libya was in the process of reviewing its investments in Africa to serve the common interests of Libya and the peoples of the region.
