The President of the Republic of the Congo, Denis Sassou Nguesso, who is also the Head of the High-level African Union's (AU) Commission on Libya, discussed in the capital, Brazzaville on Wednesday with the deputy in the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, the file of national reconciliation.
During the meeting, which was attended by the Chairperson of the AU Commission, Moussa Faki, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Congo, and the Director of the Office of the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, they discussed mechanisms for the AU's support for the national reconciliation efforts led by the Presidential Council at the continental and international levels.
According to the Presidential Council, the two sides stressed that the members of the Preparatory Committee for the inclusive conference, which will be held in the capital, Brazzaville, should be invited to put forward proposals that ensure the success of organizing this national event with the participation of the concerned parties.
