A source close to the member of the Constitution Drafting Assembly, Al-Zain Al-Dardeer, revealed that he was arrested by the Internal Security Agency at his home in the Al-Abyad area in Ubari, for the second time in about a week.

The source said that Al-Dardeer was arrested hours after his release by the same security force, noting that he was transferred to the city of Benghazi.

A week ago (on April 26), Al-Dardeer's family announced that he had been “kidnapped by unknown parties,” before he was later released. According to the family, Al-Dardeer was kidnapped from his home in the “without warning.”

The family held the Sabha Internal Security Agency responsible for Al-Dardeer's safety.

For its part, the National Gathering of Libyan Scholars and Elders denounced the incident. Activists on social media also denounced the incident, demanding Al-Dardeer's release.
