Prime Minister, Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, received, on Monday, a delegation from the Municipality of Zawiya in the presence of MP Aisha Shalaby and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Adel Jumaa.
The delegation affirmed their support for the government's campaign against smugglers and outlaws in the western region, deeming it "a crucial step" to establish security after years of turmoil.
They also discussed the municipal council elections and the obstacles hindering their conduct, demanding the government set a timetable in this regard.
Dbeibah responded and assigned the minister of Local Government to set a timetable and establish a sub-committee to supervise and ensure their success, especially after achieving security in the city.
They also raised the service file and called for activating the suspended projects in the municipality while giving priority to health and education projects.
