The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya (CBL), Saddek Elkaber, received on Monday the French Ambassador Mustafa Maharaj and the economic advisor to the embassy, Ivan Potier. 

The two sides exchanged notes on several issues, including the progress made in unifying the Central Bank and the results of consultations with the International Monetary Fund. 

They also confirmed the importance of supporting the efforts of the government and the National Oil Corporation (NOC) to increase oil production. 

Diversifying sources of income was also on the table, as both sides stressed that such an issue is a priority for financial sustainability and for driving the local economy. 

For his part, the French ambassador expressed his country's readiness to provide expertise in the digitization and training fields.
