The Victims Organization for Human Rights has expressed concern about the fate of Walid Rashid Allam, a resident at the Benghazi Care Home for Boys, who was kidnapped by the Tariq bin Ziyad militia and the Najda security agency affiliated with the warlord Khalifa Haftar.

The pro-Haftar militia of Tariq bin Ziyad accompanied by the Najda security forces stormed the Benghazi Care Home at 11 pm on Thursday and led Walid Allam to an unknown destination.

The organization demanded the Public Prosecution to unveil the fate of Walid and secure his release, holding the forces who kidnapped him responsible for his safety.

"Walid Rashid Allam was kidnapped due to his publication of information about the corruption of the Solidarity Fund and his defence of the rights of inmates of the Benghazi Care Home," the organization said.

It confirmed that nobody was able to contact Walid so far or know his whereabouts, while all security agencies denied their connection to the incident.

The organization says it fears that Walid may be subjected to humiliation and torture at the hands of his kidnappers.
