The Foreign Minister of the Presidential Council (PC) Mohammed Sayala expressed Libya's aspiration to push forward the bilateral relations with Spain to return to its former state on all levels.
In a joint press conference with his Spanish counterpart Josep Borrell after a meeting held in Madrid on Monday, Sayala said Libya is willing to see the Spanish Embassy back in Tripoli again and the return of various Spanish companies to Libya.
He stressed that the Libyan authorities will do its utmost to deal with the problems of Spanish companies that hinder their return and will work to provide a stable and secure environment for the companies in Libya, expressing his aspiration for the return of the Joint Working Committee between the two countries again and facilitating the granting of visas to Libyans, as well as deepening relations between the two countries in various fields.
The last meeting of the joint committee was held in Madrid 2008.
