The High Council of State (HCS) has condemned the Israeli airstrikes that battered Gaza overnight, killing at least 250 people, including women and children.
In a statement Sunday, the Council pledged support for the Palestinian people in the face of the Israeli "barbarous acts", which it said violates all international, humanitarian, and legal norms.
It called on the international community to assume responsibility towards the Palestinians and demanded swift action to eradicate such "blatant and repeated attacks."
In conclusion, the HCS highlighted the significance of ending the occupation and restoring rights to its owners, holding the Israeli authorities responsible for the Palestinian response due to the Jewish settlement activities and the continued assault against the Aqsa Mosque.
