Mohamed Takala, Head of the High Council of State (HCS), held a meeting on Monday with the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for North African Affairs, Josh Harris, and the US Envoy to Libya, Ambassador Richard Norland, at the US State Department HQ.
Takala headed a delegation comprising HCS members Jumaa Al-Shawish, Hassan Al-Habib, and Muhammad Moazib.
The group discussed the new initiative proposed by the UN Envoy to Libya Abdoulaye Bathily, besides pressing issues in the Middle East, and political developments in Libya.
Discussions also touched upon means of cooperation in the field of higher education and facilitating procedures for Libyan students, in addition to investment in the field of energy.
